VibeFox Cargoson for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Cargoson adds a Cargoson shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Cargoson is a European transport management platform that connects a shipper with its carriers. Customers see one price at the shipping step of checkout: a fixed price per country and package size, or the cheapest live price of the carriers connected to your Cargoson account.

It suits stores that already work with Cargoson, or want simple fixed prices by country and weight. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create bookings in Cargoson, print labels, track parcels or offer parcel machine selection, and it shows one price, not a list of carriers.

Key features

Three pricing modes: fixed prices (no Cargoson account needed), live Cargoson prices, or live prices that fall back to fixed prices when Cargoson does not answer.

Cheapest carrier or one carrier: the cheapest price Cargoson returns, or only prices from DPD, Omniva, Smartpost / Posti, Venipak, UPS, FedEx, DHL or GLS.

Booking details on the order page: the quoted carrier, service, Cargoson service ID, price source and calculated price are shown in a Cargoson shipping block of the admin order, so you know what to book in Cargoson.

Fixed price table: prices per country by cart weight (XS up to 1 kg to XL above 5 kg) plus a base price and a row for all other countries, per order or per item.

Safe currency handling: set the currency of your Cargoson prices. A price in another currency is converted to your base currency with your rate, or rejected if no rate is set. Magento shows the price in the customer's currency.

Fast checkout: prices are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes. The API timeout is 10 seconds. API errors never reach the customer.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for the Cargoson API, the collection address, fixed prices, conditions and availability, settings per website, an encrypted API key and a debug log viewer without the API key or customer postcodes.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Live prices need a paid Cargoson plan with API access and an API key from your Cargoson account. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
