VibeFox Culqi for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Culqi Payment adds Culqi, the Peruvian payment service, to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Culqi at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and on the next page the customer pays by card or Yape in the Culqi Checkout popup without leaving your store. Card data is entered in the Culqi window and never reaches your server. Your server then creates the charge with the Culqi Charges API, and the order is invoiced and the order e-mail is sent only after Culqi confirms the charge.

It suits stores in Peru that sell in Peruvian Sol (PEN) or US Dollar (USD) and have a Culqi account. The module takes one-time payments by card and Yape only, captured immediately. It has no PagoEfectivo or CIP codes, bank apps, agents, wallets or Cuotéalo, no saved cards, subscriptions or installments, no Culqi webhooks and no separate authorize and capture, and it is not offered for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Culqi Checkout popup: cards and, optionally, Yape in a Culqi window on a payment page of your store.

3-D Secure: when the bank requires it, the Culqi 3-D Secure window opens automatically and the charge is completed after the authentication.

Paid only when Culqi confirms: the charge is made by your server for the order total, and the amount and currency confirmed by Culqi are compared with the order. A match creates the invoice with the Culqi charge ID; a mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

No double charges: an order or cart that already has a Culqi charge is never charged again, even after a double click, a second tab or a retry. An unclear answer from Culqi blocks new attempts until you check CulqiPanel.

Clear declines: the customer sees the message from Culqi and can try another card on the same order. The decline code is written to the module log.

Test and live modes: separate public and secret keys for each mode and a test-mode notice at checkout. Refunds always use the key of the mode the payment was made in.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, up to the amount Culqi actually charged. Orders on hold after a mismatch can be refunded in a separate review block.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted secret keys, key prefix checks, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without keys or payment tokens.

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Order currency PEN or USD. A Culqi account with public and secret API keys. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
