Overview
VibeFox Adyen Gateway adds payments through Adyen Payment Links to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Adyen at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer is sent to the Adyen-hosted payment page and pays there with any method enabled in your Adyen merchant account: cards, wallets and local payment methods. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after Adyen confirms the payment with a signed webhook, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits stores that have an Adyen merchant account and want the payment methods of that account without a payment form on their own site. The module has no subscriptions or recurring payments, no saved cards, no on-site card fields (Drop-in or Components), no separate capture or void buttons in Magento and no payments for orders created in the Admin. Capture follows your Adyen account settings.
Key features
Adyen Payment Links: a payment link is created for the order total in the order currency, with the minor units Adyen expects for each currency (0-decimal such as JPY, KRW, IDR; 3-decimal such as KWD, BHD).
Paid only when Adyen confirms: the invoice is created only by an HMAC-signed AUTHORISATION webhook, with the Adyen PSP reference as the transaction ID. Returning to the store never pays an order.
Amount and currency check: the amount and currency confirmed by Adyen are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.
No double processing: repeated or parallel webhook deliveries never invoice an order twice. A new payment attempt for the same cart expires the previous payment link, and a second successful payment for a paid cart adds a warning note. An unpaid order can be cancelled by the customer, and the cart comes back.
Test and live modes: separate API keys and HMAC keys for each environment. Refunds always go to the environment and merchant account of the payment.
Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds from the invoice with Credit Memo › Refund, in the currency Adyen charged. Adyen confirms the result by webhook.
Order status of your choice: Processing, Complete or On Hold for manual review after a successful payment.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted API and HMAC keys, the webhook URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and a log without keys or shopper data. The admin order page shows the PSP reference, payment link, environment, merchant account, payment method and authorised amount.
